Traditional analytics is no longer enough. Businesses need individuals who can not only conduct advanced analyses, interpret their insights and recommend solutions but who can also act as a bridge between the business team and the data analyst. Graduates of the Business and Advanced Analytics program fill this need.   

Our graduates establish business requirements and conduct advanced analyses to formulate data-driven solutions that support business decisions and promote competitive advantage. They also possess the insight needed to fluently articulate a range of business matters to diverse stakeholders. Security violations, data breaches, and privacy failures are an ever-growing threat to businesses and individuals. Through classroom theory and hands-on projects in our advanced diploma program, you’ll learn how to identify, analyze, and mitigate threats to internal IT systems and/or networks. You’ll explore the systems, tools, and concepts used to minimize the risk to an organization’s cyberspace, and the standards and procedures to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information and information systems. Data analysts perform a critical role in data gathering, building tools to analyze and interpret data, visualizing results, and making recommendations on business solutions.  

The Data Analytics graduate certificate is an intensive program of study that will prepare you for a career in this growing and dynamic field by teaching you the business intelligence and analytical skills necessary to support evidence-based decision-making. 

With the Data Analytics program, you can study from a location of your choice, while being able to meet other commitments, such as work. Each term, you will have one or more online courses with scheduled evening classes each week and independent work that you can take according to your own schedule (days, evenings, and weekends).
